It appears to be real silver. I've purchased other rings recently that i had to send back because they looked not good, silver coated/plated. I have larger fingers and although it's described as dainty, it's still surprisingly flattering on my hand. The stones are beautiful, and well set, and the band has thickness to it, so it's durable, but comfortable.
